➳Natasha Journey➳

‘I’m fairly sure I borderline got exempt from most of my exams for doodling in the sections that said ‘do not write in here’… adamant I wanted to stay in education as long as I could, with my whole life to work, but I always knew I wanted to be self employed, I was constantly being drawn towards a creative path and I knew I didn’t want to settle for just any career, I finally found my love at 24, in the tattoo industry.

Having studied Marketing & PR at University, including a year abroad in Georgia, USA, the start of an apprenticeship at a PR in London and a fair few failed project based office jobs later, it was fairly obvious that, although I was more than capable my mind and creativity was yearning for more. Whilst trying to find said ‘more’ I landed myself a job as a studio manager at a Tattoo Studio, and as they say the rest is history, kind of, after a few years of a few more project based roles, pub jobs whilst working in studios and learning I was finally able to commit to the industry full time beginning of 2017.

Lets leave the highs and the lows to the blog. I’m grateful for being able to find an industry I’m truly passionate about, working with amazing customers on a daily basis creating art

➳Natasha’s Inspiration➳

Whilst studying I also did a side of photography, something I’d always been interested in, but it totally opened my eyes to seeing the world in a different way, I guess this is where my inspiration begins. Be it round London, on a city break, in a field there’s literally shapes and patterns everywhere, and this is primarily what inspires me, walking past a balcony adorned in patterns with flowers pots along side it, in my head starts to became a design, going to a music concert and seeing other people’s art seeing dancers move, their costumes, all transitions in to inspiration. I remember taking my fiancée to the Moulin Rouge for his birthday a few years ago and being devastated I couldn’t take pictures during the show because the costumes gave me so much inspiration and I wanted to remember each and every single one. One of my biggest inspirations however, are my customers, meeting them, talking to them, hearing their story, through out the consultation an image starts to form.

➳My process➳

Each new tattoo begins with an enquiry form or consultation [to book one please go to the booking form], during this time we get to meet, talk through your ideas/inspiration and what I feel I can create for you, every tattoo is team work, I design all my tattoos from scratch, so it’s always unique for you, even a flash piece is a one off, once it’s done it won’t get done again.

I price by the piece and not by the hour unless it’s an on-going project or day sit, I feel like this is fair on both sides as there is a price agreed up front, or at least a varied priced as it may depend on the size on the day, however I do have some pricing guidelines.

In order to secure a booking a deposit is required, the amount and process will be explaining once you’ve submitted an enquiry form and we have found a date for your design/idea . Once this has been received you’ll get a confirmation email. All deposits are non-refundable, however you are able to move your appointment once if a 7 day notice is given.
